The units, coming from Shanghai, were received by Jos\u00e9 David Recalde, Manager of Port Authority of Manta, and Samuel Franco Caicedo, General Manager together with Hugo Rosero, Operations Manager, both from TPM.<\/p>\n

The cranes, that are part of the equipment and investment that TPM (a subsidiary of Agunsa) is carrying out in the framework of a renovation of the port of Manta, are equipment designed for strong and demanding operations, with a robust management system of high performance, excellent for handling containers.<\/p>\n

“With the incorporation of these units we converted the port of Manta into a potential port for the export and import of containerized cargo, which is one of the main objectives set by TPM in the medium term, with a view to being one of the most competitive at the regional level, “said Samuel Franco Caicedo, general manager of the concessionary.<\/p>\n

Also, TPM received two Mettler Toledo VTC205 weighing units, 21 meters length and 80 Tonnes, for floor installation, with a minimum resistance of 1Kg \/ cm2. These modern units, are in addition to previous acquisitions already made by TPM, of five terminal tractors with their respective platforms.<\/p>\n

“Our project also includes the incorporation of a container-handling machine to handle empty units, which was already acquired and is on its way to \u00a0Manta, estimating its arrival for the second week of August 2017. Additionally, we will include a Mobile Harbour Crane (MHC) which will arrive at Manta, once the works of rehabilitation of the docks are completed. It also contemplates the incorporation of 2 additional weighing units to those already acquired. We will continue to invest in the port of Manta to provide a service of excellence to our customers, “said the top executive of TPM.<\/p>\n
